SC AVI Retreat Columbia, SC   Last weekend (May 14-16) Cedric and I had the opportunity to attend the SC AVI Retreat in Columbia, SC. The retreat featured artist from all over the state, with every genre from visual, acting, poetry, basket weaving, dancing, etc. The retreat touched on a range of topics, from setting up your art as a business, believing in yourself and you art or art form, how to communicate your business plan for grants and loans, how to face your demons, etc. There were also a number of workshops, Cedric lead one on spray painting. Some of the others were drumming, dancing, weaving, etc. The retreat was fun and we're looking forward to next year.
